We are about 12 miles from Anchorage, with no stop lights until you hit Muldoon. Our house borders on acres of woods and is directly on the lighted ski trails of Chugiak Highschool. It is an awesome spot for X country skiing, biking, photography, bird watching etc..... 18 kilometers of lighted trails literally out the front door, make this an amazing place to call home if you like to get out and about! The Chugiak Highschool and its pool is within easy walking distance, and the dog mushers club is around the corner on the way to Beach lake! Bike trails will take you all the way to Anchorage if you are a hearty soul! Features include one bedroom, one bathroom (with a washer and dryer), and a large kitchen with a microwave. It is not fancy or new, but it is clean, spacious, and has new LED lighting throughout. Unique old Alaskan antiques and artwork decorate it. It makes a great home for one or two mellow, outdoorsy, nature loving individuals. This is a lower apartment in a truly unique old Alaskan home, so its not the quietest place. If you are an introverted outdoorsman who is hard of hearing, that would be an added bonus.... it might just be your perfect spot! If the Alaska experience is what you are after, this is a great starting point. You will find fossils and kicksleds in the front yard, antlers on the walls, and landlords willing to point you in the direction of some great close by adventures! (This can be rectified :-) Our last renter of several years enjoyed the visits :-) We also are the proud parents of a young pup, so if you dont like animals, this might not be the place for you :-) She is boisterous and energetic, and available for walks on the trails with you...... :-) We are a safe family oriented neighborhood, so please, absolutely no drugs, drinking or drama! It is also a non-smoking apartment. Leases will be considered, but we usually start with a month to month situation to make sure it works for everyone.
